About us
our history
Hi, we’re Jed and Christie, the locals behind Mindful Expressions Studio.
This journey has been a long time in the making, with me-studio being simply a new name for a familiar face. We are proud to continue providing psychology services here in Charleville and to our surrounding communities across South West Queensland.
But, it didn’t all start with Psychology. Jed has worked across a wide range of industries before spending over 12 years as a Paramedic and Peer Support Officer, whilst undertaking further study to become a Registered Psychologist. Christie has worked in rural and remote healthcare for over 15 years as a Registered Nurse, Midwife and Clinical Educator and is now undertaking further postgraduate study in Psychology.
Together we bring a wealth of knowledge and experience, and a shared passion for rural and remote health, with a deep commitment to supporting our community.
We love what we do. Our work extends beyond the clinic as we continue to support other clinicians in their professional growth, contributing to workforce development and advocating for health care reform, pushing for stronger mental health systems in the bush.
why choose us?
Our goal is simple; “For Rural, by Rural”
At Mindful Expressions Studio, we’re committed to partnering with rural and remote Australians by delivering accessible, in-person mental health care - right here in the community we call home.
With over 18 years of experience living and working in rural and remote settings, our clinicians bring more than just professional expertise. We offer a genuine understanding of the unique challenges and strengths that comes with living in the west.
We believe that people in the bush deserve the same standard of care as anywhere else, delivered by professionals who truly get what life out here is like.
